Full Description
Reference Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator
Changes in temperature are known to introduce instability into the master clock signal accuracy of in-built DAC circuits. This presents difficulties for the sampling process and ultimately disrupts final audio quality. The TEAC CG-10M offers a high level of accuracy for compatible 10MHz audiophile products thanks to its oven controlled crystal oscillator, delivering dedicated, separated operations.
Four Gold-Plated BNC Connections
Multiple compatible devices can be connected to the CG-10M at once thanks to its four gold-plated BNC connectors. TEAC have ensured the quality of the signal by integrating buffer amps into their circuit design, preventing interference from leaching between waveforms and completely isolating the operations of each connected device, power supply and output stage.
Illuminated Oven Stability Gauge
A love-letter to traditional HiFi and a hallmark of TEAC’s recent Reference series models, the CG-10M uses an analogue gauge display so you can monitor the temperature of the OCXO. Upon start-up, the oven takes approximately two minutes to become stable (with roughly ten minutes before working at optimal temperature). The dial will point to zero once the internal oscillator temperature is ideal. The warm orange glow of the backlight can also be dimmed when not in use.
Pinpoint Precision Stability
TEAC’s proprietary three Pinpoint foot design incorporates a spiked foot resting above a basin shaped metal stand, minimising direct contact with external surfaces. This benefits the CG-10M by ensuring the unit remains isolated from external resonance that might disrupt clock accuracy during operations and improves overall stability, even on relatively uneven surfaces. The feet are secured to a strong metal chassis which also provides further isolation from electromagnetic noise.
