In the second generation, the Mu-So boasts a wealth of upgrades that make it even more appealing. Bass Reflex System

Two large custom bass drivers are supported by a sophisticated porting system with an outlet at the end of the cabinet. It was carefully designed to move large volumes of air with low turbulence for richly textured, low distortion bass.

Upgraded Speaker Drivers

Naim have collaborated with their partner Focal to develop improved and highly optimised drive units for Mu-so 2nd Generation resulting in more controlled and refined bass, lower distortion and greater excursion capability.

Engineering

Beneath its anodised aluminium skin mu-so is alive with innovation. At its heart an active arrangement of six digital amplifiers deliver a total of 450 watts of power to six custom-designed speakers.

Customisation

Mu-so is supplied with a Classic Naim Black speaker grille as standard. You can add a new dimension of colour to complement your living space and style with Terracotta, Olive and Peacock grilles.

Silk Dome Tweeters

Silk dome tweeters were chosen through listening tests to replace the traditional metal cones found in many wireless speakers for their benefit to sound quality.

Acrylic Base

The whole mu-so cabinet sits on an illuminated base of high-grade acrylic which provides the foundation for the electronics and speakers to shine.

Materials & Design

An extruded aluminium heat sink maximises thermal performance. The wooden speaker cabinet, designed for acoustic performance, is wrapped in a layer of high-grade aluminium to provide extra dampening for a distortion free sound. The volume control is constructed of a ring of solid aluminium which runs the circumference of the touch-panel control interface with its patent-pending system of illumination.

DSP

The mu-so audio brain is a 32-bit digital signal processor with software fine-tuned by our engineers in the listening room. It controls the flow of music information to each speaker and benefits from the developments Naim made in designing the best in-car audio systems for Bentley motors. Two EQ settings tailor sound for close to nd away from room boundaries for superb sound quality anywhere in your home.
