Full Description
The Radius series of subwoofers utilise all of Monitor Audio’s technology to maximise its output and frequency response to ensure it delivers clear, deep bass to pair with any of your preferred listening material. Accurately reproducing low frequencies to go along with your favourite films, TV shows, or music, the Radius 380’s combination of C-CAM drivers, ABR, and powerful Class D amplification deliver full, rich sound quality.
The Radius 380 is tuned especially to be paired with the full-range speakers of the Radius series, to create an affordable and accessible home listening system. Whether you’re seeking a full, rich stereo sound, or an immersive surround sound setup, the Radius series gives you this option in a consistent, integrated series.
The 380 offers three equalisation presets, allowing you to emphasise different aspects of its frequency response, with Impact, Movie, and Music settings to bring out the exact voicing you’re looking for.
C-CAM Bass Drivers
Monitor Audio’s Radius series also features their unique C-CAM drivers. Built from ceramic-coated aluminium and magnesium typically found in aerospace engineering for jet engines, this material is rigid yet lightweight. The result is a driver that reacts quickly to the movement of air without being too heavy to do so accurately. This helps to provide excellent transient response with no audible distortion, a key element for any great subwoofer.
Auxiliary Bass Radiator
The Radius 380 subwoofers feature a completely enclosed cabinet to help enhance low-frequency response and output power even further. As such, instead of a bass reflex port, Monitor Audio have designed an Auxiliary Bass Radiator, a passive internal driver which moves back and forth with the air pushing the driver.
