Marantz PM7000N
Future-Fi
With the contemporary Hi-Fi enthusiast’s growing interest in simple and compact design, many AV brands are working hard to meet the demands. Technology is rapidly advancing and so too are the technological expectations of the customer. Marantz’s PM7000N is a device with multiple capabilities all wrapped into one sleek tabletop bundle offering you a compact solution to Hi-Fi streaming. It not only performs to a professional quality but looks the part too.
HEOS: Connect and Control
The PM7000N is the first fully discrete, current feedback integrated Hi-Fi amplifier from Marantz complete with the ability to control and connect multiply located sources via HEOS built in. Enjoy all your Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Deezer, and Tidal playlists synced in one convenient place on your personal devices. Choose which speakers or room you wish to stream to and enjoy complete wireless freedom. As well as access to an almost unlimited amount of music, you can also access and instantly stream internet radio stations from the PM7000N to your compatible speakers.
High Power and Discrete
Thanks to Marantz’s own discrete HDAM-SA3 circuit, responsible for stably converting voltage to current, sound is produced at high speeds with a wide bandwidth. Sit back while your new PM7000N fills your rooms with sound in an instant. Being a discrete amplifier, the PM7000N has separate power components for pre and power sections. This helps reduce interference between circuitry for significantly reduced distortion.
High-Resolution Decoding
As well as being high speed, the PM7000N provides high resolution audio support. It can decode audio files such as Apple Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC), Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC), and WAV up to 24-bit/192-kHz for supreme quality with all the detail. With further decoding ability for DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz tracks, listen just as your favourite artists envisioned. USB and network source compatibility allow such formats to be played directly.
Connection and Compatibility
The PM7000N features several input and output options to help you amplify your separates. Firstly, two 60-Watt (8 ohm rms) channels and further subwoofer pre-out get you connected to the your Hi-Fi speakers. Two optical, one coaxial, and one USB-A input offer data transfer between audio or video devices. Moreover, if you love vinyl but want bigger and better sound, the phono input with Marantz’s new FET input stage enhances signal purity and gives sound an overall boost.
Sonic Performance
With a shielded toroidal transformer among its circuitry components, the PM7000N efficiently transforms power and further minimises electromagnetic interference between the adjacent components. Such features make streaming from the PM700N clean sounding, true to the original, and high powered for achieving the volume you want without compromise. Front panel equaliser dials ensure you can control your sound and achieve the desired levels.

Bowers and Wilkins 603 Speakers
The Bowers & Wilkins Sound
Bowers & Wilkins have been a household name in HiFi for over 50 years. Over that time they have constantly tweaked and refined the capabilities of their loudspeakers, making true sound quality more accessible and, after six previous generations of the 600 Series, are celebrating 25 years of the range with the Anniversary Edition. The 603 S2, as with the rest of the series, is inspired by technologies used for their reference flagship speakers, the 800 Series Diamond range—the speakers partnered with Abbey Road Recording Studios for their high-end fidelity.
Floorstanding Performance
It’s not just upgraded transducers that make a quality speaker. The capability of its internal circuitry is a key hurdle in producing lively musicality. As such, the engineers at Bowers & Wilkins have taken cues from the design of their 700 Signature range and implemented upgraded bypass capacitors and carefully selected components into the 603 S2 to ensure an improved level of detail. B&W’s goal is to maintain the truest level of transparency possible, ensuring that their speakers can be relied upon time after time.
Celebrating 25 Years
The 603 S2 Anniversary Edition, as the only floorstanding speaker in the 600 range, has been designed to make an impact. As the leader of your surround sound speaker setup or the showpiece of your large stereo HiFi system, these speakers stand around a metre tall. The three-way design consists of a 25mm aluminium tweeter, a 150mm Continuum cone FST midrange and two dedicated 165mm paper bass drivers. These are supported by a rear-facing bass reflex, the Flowport™, which uses a dimpled design to reduce drag on air leaving the cabinet.
Accurate and Engaging
The Decoupled Double Dome is an innovation that raises the effective breakup point of the tweeter to 38kHz. The performance of the 600 Series tweeter has been analysed by Bower & Wilkins to identify key points of stress during use. Fine layers of lightweight materials such as aluminium have then been implemented to improve strength whilst also keeping mass to a minimum. The tweeter itself is also decoupled from the cabinet to diminish the effects of reverberation from the larger drivers.
Precise Performance
The six-inch midrange is differentiated from the two bass drivers by its eye-catching colour. This is no mere aesthetic choice, but the difference in its pioneering material. Replacing the classic yellow Kevlar, Continuum—which originally made its debut in the 800 Series—has been used for its precision musicality, an essential for floorstanding speakers. FST™ (Fixed Suspension Transducers) benefit from superior separation from cabinet vibrations, meaning you can push further with the same musical purity.
Bass You Can Feel
Making full use of the upgraded crossover section, the three-way design is augmentation by two 6.5” bass drivers. The paper cones are integral to the rigidity needed to withstand the immense kinetic energy exerted during play, whilst still maintaining responsiveness. As a result, the Bowers & Wilkins 603 S2 instils a superb sense of weight no matter what you’re listening to, with a frequency range reaching as low as 28Hz. Deliver highly controlled bass with the combination of excellent extension and extreme accuracy
