Heritage of Sound
Built on industry knowledge accumulated since their founding in 1953, the Model 30 displays Marantz’s enduring passion for high-fidelity audio. This amplifier is one of their most meticulously tuned integrated models, with carefully selected, fully discrete components throughout. Marantz’s proprietary Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (HDAM) have been implemented so the Model 30 could be tuned to high-resolution, low-noise audiophile standards. The result is consistently purer reproduction, sensitivity, isolation, and reliability.
Analogue Prowess
The use of discrete HDAM-SA3 circuit technology is just one of the ways that the Model 30 is superior to standard amplifiers on the market. By dedicating itself purely to analogue audio, it uses the additional space to shape circuit paths more efficiently as well as integrate improved isolation and power supplies. In addition to a CD input for its sister model, the Marantz SACD 30n Network CD Player, the Model 30 features two line inputs, a turntable, tuner and recorder connection, and pre-out and power amp-in options.
Powerful Amplifier
At the heart of the Marantz Model 30 lies a Class-D amplifier which is capable of driving 100W per channel at eight-ohms or 200W at four-ohms. With the power amp-in connection, you also have the option to connect a pre-amplifier and use the Model 30 exclusively for its dynamic power capabilities, perfect for experimenting with system configuration. As well as speakers, you will also find a dedicated headphone output on the front panel of the amplifier, letting you connect headphones with a range of sensitivities.
MM / MC Phono Stage
A champion of analogue audio, Marantz know that vinyl playback is sensitive to even minute faults. The Model 30 purposefully uses efficient circuit paths and two-stage amplification, combining HDAM and JFET (junction gate field effect transistors), to maintain signal purity and reduce crosstalk between sections. This phono stage is compatible with both MM and MC cartridges and features high (390Ω), medium (100Ω), and low (33Ω) MC impedance selection.
Pre-amplifier Purity
Marantz pride themselves on the Model 30’s responsiveness and use an oversized toroidal transformer, encased by a double-shielded steel shell, which is dedicated specifically to providing clean power to the pre-amp section of this amplifier. Unaffected by the demands of the power-amp section, the Model 30 more reliably delivers accurate playback. With the option to connect an external power amp via pre-out, play your music the way you like it.
Design Longevity
The Model 30 Integrated Amplifier is proudly Marantz, featuring the signature porthole display present in many of their modern amplifiers, bridging the gap between cutting-edge and vintage. The chassis construction is durable, non-magnetic, and crowned by a steel top cover, ensuring that vibrations are entirely minimised. Specially machined brass input terminals are available for CD and phono, as well as nickel-plated speaker terminals.
