Full Description
The centre speaker – often underappreciated in home theatre systems. However, no true movie experience is complete without one. Leading the way in clear, detailed dialogue and filling out the void between the front speakers, the centre channel is a key team player. That’s where the Klipsch RP-500C MKII comes in.
Boasting the latest innovations, the RP-500C MKII is equipped with lightweight but rigid drivers for optimised audio reproduction, with attention has been paid throughout construction to minimise distortion even during the most demanding moments. Experience an audio environment unlike anything else.
Larger Horn, Larger Soundstage
Klipsch’s horn loaded tweeters are perfectly matched for anyone familiar with the Reference Premiere range. The iconic Tractrix ® design is supported by a compressed moulded silicon face and phase plug which, when combined, deliver a dynamic and naturally clean high frequency response. Building on previous models, the RP-500C MKII increases the size of the horn for a smoother performance and larger directivity.
Cerametallic Innovation
Another signature feature of Klipsch’s Reference Premiere series, the Cerametallic™ woofers have for years impressed listeners with their sweeping dynamic voice, minimised distortion and exceptional power handling. Now Klipsch have innovated the classic design; 70 percent larger voice coils, new aluminium shorting rings and enhanced motor structure all promote the 5.25” spun copper woofers with flawless speed and control. An all new, emotive voice for the range.
Tractrix Throughout
Tractrix geometry is utilised throughout the Klipsch Reference Premiere range. Along with the horn, the RP-500C MKII uses a Tractrix designed port, with proprietary inner flares, to allow for the most efficient air transfer from the cabinet whilst minimising port turbulence. This results in cleaner audio reproduction with much more powerful bass.
Vented Tweeter Design
The housing of the tweeter is key to reducing unwanted strain on the harmonic performance of the Klipsch RP-500C MKII. This vented design redirects and reduces standing waves, resulting in enhanced clarity and accuracy.
Linear Travel Suspension Technology
Linear Travel Suspension (or LTS) titanium diaphragm tweeters are an exclusive feature of Klipsch Reference line speakers and key in minimising distortion for unbeaten high frequency lucidity.
