Room Response Compensation

The Genelec 8030CPM Active Studio Monitor is fitted with room response compensation, enabling complete frequency response accuracy in any environment from home studios to large professional recording studios. This feature enables you to place the speakers anywhere in a room and still retrieve a flat frequency response at the listening position. Each room changes the monitor’s response in a unique way (eg. placement against a wall vs. on a stand away from a wall).

The Genelec 8030CPM speaker features versatile Room Response Controls including Bass Roll-Off and Bass-Tilt, Treble Tilt and Treble Roll-Off, Bass Level, Midrange Level, and Trebel Level all designed to create the perfect flat frequency response.

Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE™) Technology

Genelec have designed an innovative enclosure featuring round edges and gently curved front and sides. This minimises any reflections and improves the flatness of the frequency response providing superb sound stage imaging qualities for this monitor.

Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW™) Technology

DCW technology is a revolutionary innovation by Genelec from over 30 years ago, designed to greatly improve the performance of direct radiating multi-way monitors. The DCW technology shapes the emitted wavefront in a controlled way which allows for predictable tailoring of the directivity (dispersion) pattern for improved stereo and sound stage imaging. This minimises any early reflections and provides both a wide and controlled listening area for accurate sound reproduction on- and off- axis.

Iso-Pod™ Stand

The Genelec 8030CPM Active Studio Monitor comes with its own desk stand. Instead of using floor speaker stands the Genelec Monitor can be put straight onto your desk without the unwanted vibration and inaccurate frequency response. The Iso-Pod™ Stand solves these problems with four shallow feet made of rubber-like material that is firmly attached to the bottom of the monitor and can be adjusted to tilt 15 degrees to point precisely towards the listener’s ears.
