Optimised egg-shaped form

The rigid, egg-shaped form ensures no two radial surfaces are the same. This means internal standing waves and diffraction waves are eliminated, resulting in a cleaner sound. And because the internal volume of the cabinet has been increased, the frequency response has been improved and back pressure on the driver is reduced, resulting in a better impulse response.

Precise, powerful driver

The 8cm full-range driver provides clean yet powerful audio reproduction. Its drive-unit is constructed from fibreglass for high elasticity and radial rigidity. This is connected to a rubber surround, which is highly flexible, allowing for precise, lateral piston movement. And the specially designed magnetic circuit ensures high magnetic flux density, while the mass anchor ensures the optimum piston movement.

Solid foundation

The ‘all-point’ contact design the pedestal stand uses eliminates unwanted vibrations. This results in a tighter low end while letting you adjust the speaker’s angle without compromising on sound quality. It achieves this with three steel legs on top of the stand arm, with a machined locking ring.

To the ceiling

Using the CB1 bracket (sold separately) you can mount the TD508MK3 to the ceiling. And if you change the speaker arm setting you can get step-less speaker angle adjustment from -75 to 10 degrees against the speaker. And speaker cables of less than 7m can be accepted by the stand arm for seamless installation.

To the wall

Using the CB1 bracket (sold separately) you can mount the TD508MK3 on the wall. Like ceiling mounting, you can get step-less speaker angle adjustment, just the time between 20 and 75 degrees against the wall. And then accept speaker cables seamlessly in the stand arm too.

Excellent acoustic solutions

Through a number of methods, the TD508MK3 eliminates the transmission of unwanted vibrations. This includes the ‘diffusion stay’ that holds the drive unit in a floating mechanism and the enclosure’s air-tight seal. And this is achieved through a permanent bond with a flexible coupling.
